(in Dutch , but a favorable review)

(also in Dutch , a favorable review)

It seems the album is very well received in Europe because I've
read many reviews that are very positive about the new album ...
Let's hope the rest of the world will follow ...

At this moment I'm listning to Sentimental!!! My first impression is a little bit "diplomatic": It's different, I would say. The first track "something new" is realy nice, a kind of jazzy easy listning. The second track, "play me again" you would expect in an old smoke bar, and therefore wonderfull in combination with a glass of wiskey or wine and a big sigar. The third track is just playing, so no comments yet.

In general I have the idea that you need to listen to this CD a few times, before you "understand" it. The reason is that you still expect to hear the "old Tanita" sound and she not there anymore. One thing I recognise, even with all the musical changes, and that is the dark brown voice of Tanita!

I allready start to love her again ....

I found this German comment to TT and Sentimental. It is in German, but I allready understand that many of you can read this language, certainly most of the Polish and Dutch fans.

It is a very positive comment (as it should be).

a gallery of women performers popular in the 1980's and no longer that much active. It's an insult Tanita has been put in there too.  >:(
It just shows how ignorant some journalists are.

Hey there all,

I've been a bit slack since joining the forum, and haven't contributed much. I will try make more of an effort. I love reading what everyone has to say.

Can anyone tell me if the official UK release of Sentimental is a standard jewel case edition, or is it digipack? I already have the digipack, and wanted to grab myself a copy of the jewel case edition.

There's surely a very slim chance that the cd will be released here in Oz... bit sad.

Good to see some of the positive press it has recieved OS, but seems to still be receiving far less promotion that it deserves.

'Got to give you Up' is one of the most amazing songs she has ever recorded... absolutley brilliant!

Hear hear.

I must say it's very difficult for me to get into Sentimal. I don't really like songs that deal with romantic love explicitly. But, the songs kind of grow on you. The more I listen to them, the more I like them.
