Nice to see Froom's collaboration record being recognized - the Ron Sexsmith song on that record is tremendous (and I'm really not a fan of Sexsmith's work). I think Froom's work on the two Latin Playboys albums is also fascinating, particularly the second record Dose.

Anyone who likes Froom's work with Suzanne Vega may wish to listen to Stina Nordenstam's album This is Stina Nordenstam - it features Froom's signature production sound coupled with a singer whose voice and sensibility are equal parts Vega and Bjork.

And "Nine Objects Of Desire" - I think it's a about something being finally fulfilled, done. I mean, 9 = 3 + 3 + 3, and I guess you know what did 3 in medieval times mean. She got married, had a baby, she was far more experienced. This is truly a mature album.

Well, actually 9OOD is about Lolita, Mitchell Froom, Death, 3 men, 1 woman and a plum = 9
Birth-day and World Befor Colombus is about Ruby,
Thin Man is about death,
Honeymoon Suite is about M. Froom, etc.

Actually this is in the booklet of 9OOD :) Although the booklet doesn't match the songs with the objects. But once you have the list, it's not hard to find out what the songs are about.

SUZANNE VEGA HAS A NEW CD COMING OUT ENTITLED "BEAUTY AND CRIME."  I THINK SHE IS TOURING THE UK RIGHT NOW (I HEARD FROM RUMA WHO IS GOING TO SEE HER).

ON AMAZON.COM THERE IS A VIDEO CLIP OF ONE OF THE SONGS "NEW YORK IS A WOMAN" AS WELL AS SAMPLES OF ALL THE SONGS.

I LIKE THE SONGS--THEY SEEM A LITTLE EDGIER.

HAVE FUN LISTENING--PATRYK
