Why the sad face, oil-rich? 

I mean, it's been hard at times, and sometimes it still is, although living in SF sure helps, even if our famous gay "scene" caters with an overwhelming imbalance to gay men (and I don't just mean clubs and bookstores but also affordable housing and a number of such things that would require too much detail to get into). In essence, as a woman, you still get the short end of the stick. But hey, I don't have to be worried (mostly) when I tell people with whom I share my life and everything in it. So, let's make like Gnarls Barkley and keep up a  !

It happens here too. I used to be open about me being gay, but then I met the girl of my dreams, but because her family wouldn't approve, we bought a big closet and been hiding there since.

...Dumb I know.

I don't think it's so dumb, Hikka. It'd be nice if one could just be open and honest to everyone all of the time but it's just not always simply about courage.

P.S.: For all of you who may have read this post before, yes, I clipped it drastically cuz it was too personal and I didn't wanna inundate anyone with my dyko-babble. ;-)

And I get nervous whenever I see my feelings out on the web, especially on this forum.
