English singer/songwriter releases new, intimate record after seven years

AMSTERDAM-Seven years of silence has surrounded English singer/songwriter Tanita Tikaram, who once sold more than 9 million records. Now she is returning with Sentimental, in stores from April 18.

It wasn/t a conscious choice to stay away this long, musically she was just standing still.

Hi!

Seems to be lots going on about the official TT website. Well some things like downloading photos etc and copying other things like music will always be a tricky issue because of the Copyright Law etc.  But as long as we don't copy for commercial purposes we might be ok-ish! I am sure that TT's management who give material for the official site have been aware of this TT Community site for quite some time and if they would have a problem they would have told us.
An official site can never be evertyhing all the fans wish: reviews of album/singles/concerts, news, personal messages from artist, photos and much more. At least this time round there is an official site and it is being updated very rapidly now. Guess the UK release date of the album getting closer might have something to do with that!!

But we have this TT Community Page to chat about ALL TT and to share out thought and any new we find!!
Eric- might be a good idea about the other list but wouldn't it reallt be a duplication of this site?! Can't see many fans writing/posting things at two or more sites all the time. Certainly at this moment in time we won't have time to do so.

Hi Natty - I just made the group , because the other TT Yahoo group wasn't used anymore .
By no means it is meant as a duplication of this site .
This site ROCKS and is the place to be at the moment for all things Tanita .
I just felt like making this group and everybody's free to join , no commitments whatsoever ...

Gerrit may allow Tanita and her colleagues to upload Tanita-related stuff, but may ban them from downloading things from the server (and tell them that it's for copyright reasons).

This has really cracked me up, just imagine Tanita's face not being allowed to d/l "her" stuff.

I doubt that Tanita would like to download anything, anyway. She's got all of these things already.

I realy love you all! This forum is unique, for where else can you have an amusing chat like this, between TT lovers. The only one missing is TT herself! Who is going to tell her that?

i remember a review from the Dutch Veronica magazine about the Cappucino songs and i think they never heard the album at that time!
It was realy bad....(

I suspect that TT's official managment doesn't know which page is the most "official", either. In the V2 promos they continuously refer to Morten's www.tanitatikaram.com site as the official one, too. I wonder whether Morten is aware that the website he created 7 years ago under the name "The Cappuccino Singer" is now the official website. Or at least one of the official ones.
